WE
AT HGU-5000 ALWAYS SUGGEST THAT THIS UNIT BE INSTALLED
BY
A PROFESSIONAL MECHANIC.
1.
Tools you will need; (Kit) 1 HGU-5000 and 4 oz. sodium citrate
·___ ¼”-18 pipe tap 1 Fuse holder and 15
amp fuse
·___ 3/8”, 3/32” drill bit 8’of 5/16”
tubing and 1 ¼” barbed adapter
·___ Pliers 3 blue wire connectors
·___ Wire cutters 1 red wire splice
connector
·___ Voltmeter Red wire and black wire and
2 cable ties
2.
Find the air filter housing and remove the air filter cartridge. Look for a
good place to
drill
a 3/8” hole into the housing where the fresh air intake is. This is on the
dirty side of
the
air filter in the housing. Use the ¼”-18 ppe pipe tap to thread the hole you
have
drilled
in the housing.
3.
Install the barbed ¼” adapter to the outside of the housing.
4.
Put the air filter back together
5.
Mount the HGU-5000 in front of the radiator behind the front grill to keep the
unit
cool
and away from the heat of the engine, and to have the room for the cooler/reservoir.
Remember
this unit holds mostly water. And water can boil next to the engine.
6.
Install the black negative wire by first crimping a blue connector to one end.
Attach
that
end of the wire to a good ground like the engine or the negative terminal of
the
battery
and the other end to the negative terminal of the HGU-5000.
7.
Use a volt meter to find a positive feed in your fuse box that turns on and off
with the
engine
(ignition). Connect the red wire to that circuit and the other end of that wire
to the
positive
terminal on the HGU–5000 using the wire connectors. INSTALL THE IN
LINE
FUSE ON THE POSITIVE WIRE STARTING AT THE SOURCE OF POWER.
THEN
SPILCE THE TWO WIRES TOGETHER WITH THE SELF TAPPING SPLICE
CONNECTOR
(PROVIDED). The unit will use 12-14 volts with no more then a 12 amp
draw.
8.
Cut the 5/16” tubing to go from the negative side of the HGU–5000 (hydrogen
side)
to the barb you installed on the air filter housing making sure that the hose
is high
enough
3”- 6” above the unit for it not to start a siphon effect if water gets in the
hose.
The
same will have to be done for the oxygen side.
9.
(Optional) Use the remaining hose and connect it to the oxygen outlet on the
unit.
Direct
that hose to the vehicles air intake vent-which is right in front of the
windshield in
most
vehicles or let it vent into the engine compartment.
CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR INSTALLATION
The HGU–5000
will need to be filled with electrolyte to work.
If
purchased the electrolyte cooler follow the mix instruction with it. If not mix
as follows
1.
Take 16 oz. of distilled water.
2.
Put 4 oz. sodium citrate in and mix (Provided with kit). This is good to 10
degrees.
The sodium citrate will dissolve faster if the water is warm.
3.
Fill unit to fill line or to the top of window and check unit every tank of
fuel if not
sooner.
The unit will go through more water in the summer so check often. If low
top
off with distilled water, no more sodium citrate is needed.
4.
Clean out the unit every 6-8 months with water and add new electrolyte
preferably
at the end of fall. For more sodium citrate email hydrogenpowernow@gmail.com If
electrolyte freezes it will go back to liquid state within one hour of use. Use
only sodium citrate with unit. The unit will make 1000ml. or 60.51 cubic in. of
hydrogen an hour. If your check engine light goes on put a high flow air filter
on like a K/N and it should go off if not reset the (ECM) or computer.
Imperative
keep the water/electrolyte in window area at all times. If not it can over heat
and
damage the unit! Installing the electrolyte cooler/reservoir is highly
recommended.
Congratulations
your HGU–5000 is ready for use.
