STM-3, the world's only pure Synthetic ceramic metal treatment, proven to substantially decreases friction, reduce damaging harmonics and wear in the engine and transmission, in comparison with operation on oil alone. What is STM-3?

STM-3 is a not-petroleum based. STM-3 is non-flammable (contains no solvents), non-corrosive, non-toxic, biodegradable, synthetic ceramic metal treatment. In fact, STM-3 is the only synthetic, environmentally friendly, smog reducing metal treatment in the world, that works as stated, not 50-70% of the time, But 100% of the time. STM-3 starts working within minutes of being added, you will hear it, feel it,see it! or your money back!

With over 6 years of certified testing including testing performed by the EPA showing a 92% reduction in emissions output in a gasoline engine and 5 years real world application, Cerma  with STM-3 technology has “leapfrogged” current metal treatment/engine treatment technology and leads the way for anti-friction, harmonic reducing, smog reducing metal treatment into the third millennium. STM-3 combines all the positive aspects of previous technology into its new technology without any of the harmful negative attributes associated with current additive technology.

          STM-3 is NOT!

  • An additive to lubricant: STM-3 is a true metal treatment.
  • A product derived from ceramic technology: STM-3 is a synthetic metal treatment.
  • A lubricant: STM-3 is a metal treatment that uses existing lubricants to carry it to the metal parts.
  • Does not contain solids: STM-3 is not harmful to parts, lubricants and environment. Cerma products contain no fluropolymers, PTFE based compounds, graphite, naturally derived chlorinated hydrocarbons, black and non-ferrous metals. Having no chemical affinity with mineral and synthetic petroleum, STM-3 is not soluble in  known petrol lubricants or fluids. Being chemically inert, it does not disturb the pH-balance of lubrication oil additive packages.
  • STM-3 is not only inert to materials, but also,blocks oxidizing processes on the surfaces of metals.

  

  • STM-3 contains:
  • No paraffin's – therefore, it can be used as an additive in fuels.
  • No cladding materials that can be harmful, such as Teflon®, metal, zinc, paraffin wax.
  • No EPA targeted carbon chain.
  • No product that will build up or oxidize.
  • No Elements that would void warranties.

 

What are the applications for STM-3?

        STM3 is for use in all environments that involve:

  • Extreme temperatures (both Cold and Hot)
  • High loads
  • Extreme pressure
  • High sliding speed and pressure
  • Intermidiate lack of lubrication
  • High harmonic vibration generation
  • Metal to metal contact
  • High abrasion areas

  • Automotive and heavy duty truck motor, standard transmission, differential, hubs, wheel bearings, and automatic transmission and power steering for gasoline and diesel fuels

Will the use of STM-3 void warranties?

No! STM3 does NOT treat the oil or fluid into which it is introduced.

STM3 treats metal only. It does not affect, in a positive or negative way, any type of seal material.

STM3 does not affect warranties because it does not mix with the oil, or affect the pH, or blend package of any lubrication fluid into which it is introduced.

STM3 is a pure concentrate metal treatment only.

 

What does STM-3 do for the equipment that is treated?

STM3 significantly reduces friction and harmonics, thereby providing:

  • More power to motorized equipment (increased rpm or same rpm at improved energy output efficiency).
  • Cooler operation in all engines, transmissions, gear boxes, sliding devices, and bearing assemblies.( as tested yielded 45 deg. average reduction in fluid temps)

STM3 only affects metal parts; therefore, it can be safely used in hydraulic systems, HVAC pumps, conveyor systems, automatic transmissions,
gear boxes, transfer cases, crankcases, differentials, coolants, fuel, and chain cases – virtually any friction or Harmonic generating environment.

 

 

Does CERMA  WITH STM3 wear out?

No! STM3 does not wear out. As STM3 is a true metal treatment, once the penetration into the metals surface has occurred, you would have to remove the metal itself to remove the STM3 treatment.

 

Does CERMA  WITH STM3 replace existing oil or grease volume?

No! Unlike additives, STM3 does not change the lubricant base, because STM3 is a metal treatment. Most anti-friction additives change the oil, thereby altering the delicate formulation of the oil or lubricant. When a petroleum based oil additives replace or alter the oil with which the engine is designed to operate, the additive package pH and suspension agent of the oil may be altered. When the pH is wrong, the “additive package” is out of balance and can cause acidic buildup and corrosiveness. STM3 does not change the properties of your lubricants .

 

At what point does CERMA  WITH STM3 break down under heat?

STM3 does not break down under heat. STM3 is not a lubricant or an additive that is affected by heat. STM3 is a metal treatment that is absorbed into the metal and uses oil, lubricant, or grease only to carry it to the metal. In one application, STM3 will remain stable in excess of  temperatures of 2420°F.

 

How does CERMA  WITH STM3 work?

STM3 Nano-molecules will bind with carbon chains within the metal sub-surface, once fully cured cerma yields a glass smooth sealed surface, eliminating surface flaws within the metals mating surfaces.

The surface boundary layers formed by STM3 have a sub micron molecular structure with  characteristics that ensure extremely low levels of boundary friction between the surfaces.

STM3 is formulated with a "Surface Tension Modifier" That will reduce Temperature, Pressure, and Friction between moving surfaces (boundary friction and wear). When the temperature is altered up or down and/or the pressure or friction is increased, STM3, activates a succession of chemical reactions with carbon acids and H2O to reduce surface tension, this feature is Cerma's patent pending advantage over all other products sold today.

 

  • STM3 Nano molecules are non-petroleum based ions with an extremely high affinity towards the metal surfaces
  • STM3 molecules are <0.001µm and are therefore able to penetrate gum and varnish residual buildup on surfaces without the use of solvents. Once STM3 molecules penetrate these surfaces, metal’s micro-pores. Once bonded the surface, a cerma treated engine/equipment no longer has the cracks, pores for the gum/varnish particulate to latch onto, once Cerma has reached the metal surface after penetrating the varnish build up it forms a ceramic shield that protects the metal, once set STM3 releases the varnish and carbon build up back into the lubricant stream to be cleaned by the inline filtration system.
  • Contains 99.9% synthetic Nano ceramic compounds.
  • STM-3 will , bond, and mechanically penetrate surfaces of metal.
  • STM3 molecules form ceramic boundry layer on and below metal surfaces to seal the rough pores and to smooth the metal surface.
  • STM3 provides protection from abrasion by forming a near diamond hard surface film on and below metal surfaces.
  • STM3 starts to activate at temperatures above -45°F. The higher the temperature, the faster the activation time, the more hours of constant operation the faster the final results will become apparent.
  • STM3 forms a permanent sub surface internal bond within metals.
  • The resulting compound is harder, not due to “making” the original friction area “harder”, rather by  filling in the pits, cracks, and uneven surface of the  surface, making the surface as near perfectly smooth as is mechanically possible. This will not change dimensions of contacted parts.
  • STM3 will remove varnish & carbon build up on & between parts, leaving the internal metal surfaces clean and as near new condition as possible with your particular application.

STM3 is for all LPT environments – high Load, extreme Pressure, and high Temperature.

 

How long does STM3 take to work?

stm3 when introduced to the lubrication stream will start to work within minutes, Reducing harmonic vibrations, then reducing heat. Although you will see & feel immediate results! Cerma will take up to 3 months before it has completed it's final curing of ceramic. In some cases Cerma will provide Fuel savings within an engine, This process can take 5-min. up to 90 days to become fully apparent and final, depending on the amount of lacquers your engine has built up over the years of use. (cerma products do not use solvents, cerma relies on the Nano particle size to penetrate the lacquer build up, releasing the carbon & laquar buildup into the oil stream to be filtered out)

 

Will cerma stop oil burning within my engine?

Yes, In most cases stm3 will reduce or stop oil burning completely.

Note: stm3 will not fix a physical defect. Although it has been found that things we think are broken are really just coated heavily with lacquers from the oil oxidizing and once the lacquers are removed the part works as intended.

 

Does STM3 have a warranty?

Yes, All cerma products are warranted for the life of your application, further Cerma offers a full purchase price refund for any reason within 120 days of purchase.

What happens if I have problems after application with Cerma products?

No problem, First thing you should do if you have a problem or questions, Contact your sales rep. In the event there is a need for further assistance Cerma Corporate Representative will call on you to correct the issue to your satisfaction.

Does STM3 have insurance in the event of damage to my application?

YES, Cerma products are covered by a 2 million dollar product liability policy, that will repair or replace any equipment that has been found to be damaged by our products use or application.

What is the mix ratio for CERMA  WITH STM3?

The mix ratio varies depending on the fluid into which STM3 is applied and the load requirements.

Do I have to add additional stm3?

Never, stm3 is a one time metal treatment. Once it sets the ceramic into the metal, it's done!

Cerma makes a OIL conditioner called Cerma Nano ! Don't confuse the two products, Nano is a true OIL treatment (mixes with the oil to promote better fuel economy) Optional oil treatment for use only! after equipment has been treated with stm3 METAL conditioner. (Cerma Nano is added when changing oil, to enhance fuel economy) (( OPTIONAL ))

stm3 is a true METAL conditioner (does not mix with oil, just uses oil to carry it to the metal)  ONE TIME TREATMENT !
